MARQUETTE, Mich. — Ethan Shaver accounted for 348 total yards and four touchdowns as Menominee ripped Grand Rapids West Catholic 41-20 in the semifinals of Michigan's Division 5 high school football playoffs on Saturday at the Superior Dome.

The Maroons (13-0), the defending state champions who earlier this season knocked off Wisconsin's Division 1 runner-up, Mequon Homestead, trailed 14-12 in the second quarter but went ahead for good on Shaver's 14-yard touchdown pass to Justin Salzman.

Matt Eisenzoph's second touchdown run of the game gave Menominee a 28-14 lead after three quarters, and Shaver hit Salzman for a 12-yard touchdown and scored on a 7-yard run to put the game away.

Shaver rushed for 234 yards and threw for 115 for the Maroons, who play Jackson Lumen Christi (12-1) at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday.

The Falcons finished 12-1.
